Created and piloted two-year Algebra 1 course for 7th and 8th grade in 2018

Year-Long STEAM Projects
5TH Grade: Rubik’s Cube Curriculum
- Students learn multiple solution algorithms, practice throughout the year, and then demonstrate mastery in morning assembly at the end of the year in front of parents and students
6th Grade: Menger Sponge (level 2/3) Project
- Students develop self-confidence, grit, and manual dexterity through the discovery and application a recursive algorithm that turns 2,400 business cards into a 3.5ft3 fractal cube
7th Grade: Topology Project
- Students collaborate to produce a 3-dimensional cardboard canyon layer-by-layer to learn about map reading and topology
8th Grade: Planetarium Project
- Students plan, develop, and construct a working geodesic-dome planetarium constructed almost entirely from isosceles cardboard triangles
